Using their ground-breaking Regulator fleece, Patagonia designed the R2 as a lightweight, packable, breathable mid-layer for any cold condition. Working well alone, the R2 really performs at its best under a shell when the weather has gone from bad to very bad. The Polartec® Thermal Pro® fabric is supremely compressible and breathable, warmer, with more stretch and even a softer feel. The smooth hand layers well beneath shells and the directional knit wicks better than ever. Newly added Polartec Power Stretch® panels run the length of the outer forearms and along the ribs to improve high-wear-area durability and provide a closer fit.
