Petzl's Xion Duratec Dry Climbing Rope is a 10.1 mm workhorse designed for extra durability. Excellent as a top-roping candidate, this 60 meter rope uses Duratec Dry treatment to help prevent water absorption. The Xion rope uses a special weave that gives it a more supple hand similarly found on thinner diameter ropes. This means it runs through gear easier and faster with less wear. The Xion also has 22% more sheath by weight than other Petzl ropes. And like all Petzl ropes, the Xion is marked with a black bar to indicate the rope's half length.
