Durability Price Value Quality At first I was nervous about the price but I was really happy with my better sweater so I thought I would give it a try. I am so happy I did! I love this jacket in every way- it packs down as small as they say (even fits in bike saddlepack), is awesome in the wind and is totally waterproof.
I have not worn it in a downpour yet but it worked great in a drizzle. It does not have waterproof zips (probably to keep the cost down) but the zipper have little flaps to cover them which keeps your stuff dry.
The hood also tightens like a hat so it stays on well when running and biking.
The only thing to watch out for is that it runs large. I am normally a meduim (5'6" 135lbs.) and a small fits well over my better sweater and has plenty long enough sleeves (normally a problem for me!)
Overall, get this jacket. It is awesome all around! -

Durability Price Value Quality at first I thought the price was steep but I love my Better Sweater so I gave it a try... LOVE IT! it packs down as small as they say and even fist in my bike saddlepack. Layered with the sweater it keeps me as warm as I would ever want to be but not sweaty because of the pit zips
I havent worn it in a downpour but i have in a drizzle and it is totally waterproof. Also, the hood tightens like a hat so it wont blow off and stays on when running/biking.
I will say two bad things- it does not have waterproof zippers. However, they did think to put little flaps over the zippers, which works just as well and keeps the cost down. Also, it runs a little large. I am normally a medium (5'6" 135lbs.) but a small in this fits over my better sweater, any of my hoodies and has perferctly long sleeves. In short, get a size down.
Fits better than comparable jacket from Mountain Hardware (more feminine)
