Tough enough to withstand a 5.8 earthquake!

Price Value Quality Durability I recently retired my Asolo Styngers for a pair of Oboz Sawtooth Mids. I was looking for something a little more flexible and cushioned, yet durable enough to stand up to 15-mile day hikes and multiday backpacking trips. Over the past few weeks I have put them to the test in a variety of different terrains, and they have performed BEYOND my expectations. They are grippy enough to effortlessly scale up Old Rag, even during a 5.8 earthquake. During a 16-mile day hike at Ramsey’s Draft, my feet stayed totally dry after tackling 20+ stream crossings, with higher than normal water levels requiring total submersion of my boot. And, they offered the perfect amount of support for a 20-mile overnighter on the AT. I am more than pleased with my new boots, but I cannot solely give credit to Oboz. The Blue Ridge staff was extremely helpful in my process of selecting new footwear; their product knowledge and dedication to outfitting customers with the perfect gear is what keeps me coming back year after year.
